the happiness of a low-calorie decision

whoo hoo! i finally got a real chance on writing the helpful meals i've told you about. my thoughts have been really on the final assignment thingies these last couple of days. RRRR.

when i first arrived in vienna, i did amaze myself because of the goodness of what i saw. okay, there are thos beautiful 18th-century baroque-roccoco buildings, which have made me become a super BANCI FOTO *it means "picture-making freaks", you international frenzies* creature for a second or two. these r the pictures i made according to the beauty of the buildings. example-iesss..... ::::

goodie goos.. and after the buldings, another thing that really did amaze me is how the people look. GOD, isn't there any UGLY people here? okay then, even if they weren't so stylish, isn't there one that is just ugly or FAT? unfortunately i really didn't find one.
this might look like a typical fashion spread, ad, or sumthin like that. but this actually also the look of a typical wien male and female.

i can't believe how they built and maintained themselve so good-looking....ly..........!! for real, i've never seen any crowd this BEAUTIFUL before.. geez geez! but then what i think about is, how much do they really care about their looks? okay, it should probably start from what they ate everyday, shouldn't it?

then i found the real answer at the hotel.

i stayed at the Hilton Vienna which is located in front of Stadtpark, a huge park by the street with the same name where they put these famous composers like Strauss, Bethooven, or Schubert's statue. They also put the beautiful ducks and pigeons and even crows *well even the crows are beautiful even though they sound horrible and eventually wanna make my baby sister scream and run*

and it wasn't really surprising, when somehow i found out the way the breakfast served everyday. can you belive that they have some kind of a calorie-notification labeled on every choice of food there?

okay, now i can really see how concern they all are with the nutrition they have everyday. no wonder they have such incredible complexion and bodies!! and not only that, there also choices of healthier food on the menu, and don't start imagining boring-yet-ewwwwwing food like those-kind-of-doctor-diets u will be given once u go to the nutritionist, these r some examples of "The Healthier Choices" i have tried from the room service, delivered straight to my desk while i was doing my final assignment.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........................
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..................................
on the first photo is the field grilled chicken salad and the second is the coconut-mango pudding with berries.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........

okay, i'm now size 8, and my pants' size is 10 for tighties, 12 for biggies. i'm dying to make it 8. sooo 8. should i stay in vienna for a little longer to make it come true? i didnt bring my cross training nike air on the trip, i wonder if i really did so and had a little - little jogging at stadtpark. wouldn't it be just great?

i lllllllove vienna! and i'm longing to be there again someday!

for the love of wien #1

alrait.

so im currently in wien, austria, makin a company for my dad--whose duty is attending somewhat international institute of spaca law conference with his old fellas of big bosses *nyeh*. it was our second day, where we were going to grab some breakfast in the coffee shop. before i finally face the 4C freezing weather, i decided to wear something quirky-yet-comfy.

so this was what i had for the +4 heater temp :

okay, and i did notice some stuff here :
1. my legs were TERRIBLEEEEEE... no no, it's H U G E
GOSH did i just gain more weight???! but in spite of that, i did have lots and LOADS of incredible food here.. this was what i ate yesterday

it was called a sumthin - sumthin fish duet risotto, a.k.a cheesy rice or "nasi keju" in indonesia, but this is much much better! God, im dying to have some more!!! okay, this was just about 20% of what i ate *NYEHH?* aaaaaghh the food were just SUPRE! wewwwww should i not eat or whatt???? uh oh wait, i kinda got some help by the hotel's breakfast. i'll give u more details on the next post!

2. the combinations were just good, wasnt it? i wore a topshop scarf, a zara wool dress, a factory-outlet bought cotton tights, the boot i wore at the gig *one post before this* and my mom's classic LV bag. i had a marks and spencer black thermal inside, it kept me a little bit warmer.

okay, this was only for the breakfast at the lobby. i would freeze myself to death if i had this for going out!!

and remember, this is only the first post. im going to grab some tango concert ticket after this, i'd write a lot when i go to naschmarkt and kaertnerstrasse *shopping? YEH! SHOPPING!*

next post :
1. six packages of breakfast
2. huge shopping-heaven called naschmarkt and kaertnerstrasse

and one more thing, this post is for bilawa. i miss you!

watching a bestie's gig

hi guys, long time no see. its been around..i dont know, months(?) since i wrote my last blog hihi. as how my niece mita said, i think i should take pictures of my everyday-wear. hopefully it could be a somewhat-kinda-okay inspiration for all of you fashionistas or non fashionistas or victims of fashionistas or nobodies.

i went to fame station at bandung yesterday (friday the 13th of march 2009). it was actually a chilly place, so i kinda hold my shivering-vibe up for my half-the-thighs khaki pants. at first i was going to wear the tank itself--without the blazer--but my body said i shouldnt be so stupid at putting my shaved-armpits and shoulders in danger of freezing.

this was what i wore, fellas:

so it was a semi-cropped blazer with a vintage floral - print ARI THALIA tank inside, with a ZARA half-the-thighs khaki pants. i combined everything with a flea market - bought vintage slingbag, a ZARA suede cowboy boots, and a big plastic birthday-party merchandise necklace from my mom's best friend.

i felt a bit cold, but its worth the look HAHA. and anyway, im gonna post another blog post about the birthday-party necklace afterwards. it was such a unique one, a bunch of people had asked about where i got it and some even didn't believe that it was only a birthday-party merchandise.

okay so that's it, this post is for my bestfriend acid who had the gig that night, bilawa fahri echa padang and candra as the companies, and especially echa who took the picture. annddd for mitaa who convinced me right from the start about starting this whole thingy... hehehe MAKASIIH!

how Marc Jacobs influenced me under my thoughts

Okay guys, so this is what i did in a styling job for a photo shoot last year, by the photographer Agi Prabu Bramantya. I have no exact inspiration that time, all i know is that im following the concept and matching it with the set, and this is what i got.

Worn by Sarah Paramitasari as the model, i added up an Adidas originals bubbly tee layered on a ZARA striped tank, combined with another Women's Secret striped hot pants in a total different color scheme, all above the base of a ZARA grey catsuit. Accessorizing everything, i put a market-bought black disco-patterned tie on the head, with a vincci spandex-added heels as a finishing touch.

And this is what particulary Mr. Jacobs has done in Spring 2004 Ready-to-Wear.

Kewl. I love u Mr. J, really.
U are particularly sooo my inspiration, even under my thoughts, even before i knew it.

my always-been-loved Y-3!! here goes my fave pieces from the spring 2009 collection ;D

As my regular vogue.com newsletter arrives in my mailbox, i see the main headline written as "SPRING 2009 COLLECTION SHOW". In chronological, these are the top 5 lines i see first :
1. y-3
2. marc by marc jacobs
3. versace
4. nina ricci
5. chanel
They have apparently around 50-60 collections each, so i decided to browse along my fave line Y-3 first. Always quite-sporty and a-lot-more-so-yohji, Y-3 is always avant garde and catchy. Playing with smart lines, big-printed logos, with ultra-edgy cuts and layers.
Starting with Freja Beha as the first face, Yohji Yamamoto creates a genuine layer of a cropped jacket with stripy thin-layered top, along with an edgy wrapped-like palazzo. And soon after, follows his collection of moreover blacks and triple-stripes, with prime colors added occasionally--creates a breeze of strong accent of a sporty-yet-so-Yohji vibe.
Im gonna start reviewing this collection with the most catchy blackies cuts.

Blacks are always up on Yohji's mind--a primary, good-for-all-sense-of edgy. As Heidi Verster wrapped up in sheer palazzo with tiny sailor-like collared baby blue shirt and cropped up preppy vest, he creates a formal look with a touch of casual.

Lekeliene Stange followed afterwards with a combination of sporty-sheer on her logo-ed blouse, sleek-looking tote, and a superb hat that reminds me of a dwarfy-vibe. Formal-sporty to casual-edgy.

Another vibe of a sleek-sporty look is up on Pernille Moeller's figure on the picture next--another wrapped-up cut added up with three-stripes accent and tweed fedora and clean-shined high-tops. She instantly strenghten the sense of a clean look on all the sporty-yet-edgy vibe Yohji Yamamoto created.

The next look worn by Sheila Marquez is more like a simplified version of what Pernille had. And the last picture is apparently the best black cut in my version *;p*, a striped dress with a sheer black layer that creates an avant-garde look on a still sense of Yohji.
Continuing the review, i'll jump up to the prime colors part. Red, is the color dominantly chosen by Yohji Yamamoto this season. Still, in a strong blend with blackies, Yohji creates another avant-garde and straight look on his designs.

The first all-red look worn by Katya Polyaeva is an all-red sheer dress with a soft-cut wavy bolero on the outer layer. Combined with bright red sneakies on a clean fair skin, this look just reminds me on how reddish Michael Pondaag styled the fashion spread titled "RED" on January'09's AMICA mag. Minus the geisha-looking model, this Y-3 look instantly creates a dramatic vibe in a simple-layered dress, helped with the outrageous color.

The next picture worn by Heloise Guerin, a short-cut velvet maroon red jacket combined with black laced top and laced-layered skirt, degrades the sporty sense and replaced it with a touch of goth. Both equals an avant-garde look of Yohji.

Though, the sense of goth degrades eventually on the next pieces Serafima Vakulenko wore. No sleek fabrics, only touches of feminity breaks out with the golf hat.

Combinations of cleanliness and sporty-vibes seen once again on the next two looks. My favourite is the one represented by Freja Beha on the last red. The biggie pants are just outrageous! A solid layer of waves and mess in a sheer touch blended in black and white, with the superb avant-garde cut obviously seen on the red top.

Above all of the collections, these are my most favourites. All of them might have one thing in common--my taste. Haha. Okay, furthermore to be exact, i always prefer these kinds of elements in my style-pieces :

1. Superb extraordinary cuts in primary colors with no pattern

2. A blend of sense of cleanliness and sporty in one major look

3. Unexpected combinations--like dwarfy hat in a clean sporty look, or a sheer fabric on a prime sporty piece

For me, Yohji Yamamoto is still the king of cuts. Yep, cuts. He creates the most outrageous cuts in his pieces like no other designer could do.

Up for Populo Boutique after these, anyone?
